 {Chapter II}

"Dialogue between Yamuna and Shrikrishna's wives, the appearance of Uddhav ji in Kirtanotsav"

Srimad Bhagavatam Mahatmya: Chapter II, Verses 1-12

The sages asked; Mr. Sut! Now tell that when Shandilya Muni returned to his hermitage after ordering Parikshit and Vajranabh in this way, then how and what work did those two kings do?
Sut ji says;- The queens of Shri Krishna were very happy after hearing the words told by Yamuna ji. He bowed down to Yamuna ji and returned from there and narrated all those things to Vajranabh and Parikshit. Hearing all this, Parikshit was very happy and taking Vajranabh and Shri Krishna's wives with him at the same time, reached that place and immediately started all the work that Yamuna ji had told.

Sut ji started saying; After that Maharaj Parikshit called thousands of big Seth's from Indraprastha (Delhi) and gave them a place to live in Mathura. Apart from these, Emperor Parikshit called the Brahmins and ancient monkeys of Mathuramandal, who were great lovers of God, and considered them worthy of respect and settled them in the city of Mathura. In this way, with the help of King Parikshit and the grace of Maharishi Shandilya, Vajranabh discovered all the places where Lord Krishna used to perform various types of pastimes with his beloved gopas and gopis. After the exact location of the pastimes was decided, he named those places according to the pastimes there, established the pastimes of God, and established many villages at those places. Get kunds and wells dug in the name of God at every place. Planted groves and gardens, established deities like Shiva, etc. Established Bhagavadvigraha by the names Govinddev, Haridev, etc. Through all these auspicious deeds, Vajranabh preached devotion to Lord Krishna everywhere in his kingdom and became very happy. His subjects were also very happy, immersed in the ocean of ecstasy always engaged in chanting the Lord's sweet name and pastimes, and always praising the kingdom of Vajranabha.

One day sixteen thousand queens distraught with the pain of separation from Lord Krishna, seeing their beloved husband's fourth queen Kalindi (Yamuna ji) happy, started asking him in a simple way. There was not even a trace of jealousy in his heart. The queens of Shri Krishna said - 'Sister Kalindi! Just as we all are the wife of Shri Krishna, so are you. We are getting burnt by their separation, and our heart is getting upset due to their separation, But this is not your condition, you are happy. What is the reason for this? Kalyani! It is okay to tell something.

Yamuna ji laughed after hearing his question. At the same time thinking that because of being the wife of my beloved, she is also my sister, she melted; His heart melted with pity. So she started saying this.

Yamuna ji said; 'Lord Krishna is Atmaram because of rejoicing in his own soul and his soul is Shriradha ji. I keep serving Radha ji like a maid; The effect of his service is that separation cannot touch us. All the queens of Lord Krishna, of them are an extension of a part of Shriradha ji. Lord Shri Krishna and Radha are always in front of each other, they have a daily coincidence; That's why the other queens of Shri Krishna, who are partially present in the form of Radha, also get the eternal association of God.

(English translation of Srimad Bhagavatam Mahatmya: Chapter II, verses 13-23)

Sri Krishna is Radha and Radha is Sri Krishna. The love of both of them is a dynasty and Radha's beloved friend Chandravali is also called 'Chandravali' because of being attached to the service of the moons in the form of Krishna's feet. He has a great longing and great passion in the service of Shri Radha and Shri Krishna; That's why she doesn't assume any other form. I have seen the inclusion of Rukmini etc. in Shriradha itself. Even if you people have not been separated from Shri Krishna in all, but you do not know this secret in this form, that is why you are getting so upset. Similarly, earlier also when Akrura had brought Shri Krishna from Nandgaon to Mathura, on that occasion the gopis had the feeling of separation from Shri Krishna, that too was not a real separation, but only an impression of separation. Until she knew this, she was in great pain; Then when Uddhav ji came and pacified her, then she could understand this. If you also get the Satsang of Uddhav ji, then all of you will also get the happiness of daily vihar with your beloved Shri Krishna.

Sut ji says;- Sages! When he explained in this way, then the wives of Shri Krishna again spoke to Yamuna ji who was always happy. At that time, there was a great longing in his heart that by some means we should have the darshan of Uddhav ji, so that we can get the good fortune of the daily association of our beloved.

The wives of Shri Krishna said; Friend! Your life is blessed; Because you never have to suffer the pain of separation from your Prannath. By the grace of Shriradhika ji, your desired meaning has been accomplished, now we have also become her maids. But you have just said that all our wishes will be fulfilled only after meeting Uddhav ji; That's why Kalindi! Now tell me such a solution, by which Uddhav ji can also be found soon.

Sut ji says;- When the queens of Shri Krishna told Yamuna ji in this way, then thinking about the sixteen arts of Lord Krishna Chandra, she said to him - "When Lord Shri Krishna started coming to his supreme abode, then he said to his minister Uddhava - 'Uddhava! Badrikashram is the place to practice, so you go there to complete your spiritual practice.' According to this order of God, Uddhav ji is currently sitting in Badrikashram in his own form and preaching the knowledge told by God to the curious people going there. Let's keep doing it. There is the land of fruits of spiritual practice - Vrajbhoomi; this too along with its secrets was already given to Uddhava by God. But that fruit land has gone beyond gross vision with the presence of God from here; that is why at this time Uddhav is not visible here.

(English translation of Srimad Bhagavatam Mahatmya: Chapter II, verses 24-35)

Still, there is a place where Uddhav ji can be seen. Near the Govardhan mountain is the place of the Lord's leela-sahachari gopis; Uddhav ji definitely resides there in the form of Lata, Ankur, and Vines. The purpose of their living in the form of creepers is that the feet of the beloved Gopis of God should fall on them. There is also a certain thing about Uddhav ji that God has given him his festive form. God's celebration is a part of Uddhav ji, he cannot stay away from it; That's why now you people go there with Vajranabh and stay near Kusum Sarovar. Gathering a congregation of devotees of the Lord, start the great festival by chanting the name and pastimes of the Lord with the instruments of Veena, Venu, and Mridangam, listening to the poems related to the Lord and singing the praises of the Lord. In this way, when that great festival will expand, then it is sure that Uddhav ji will be seen there. He alone will fulfill all your wishes".

Kusum Sarovar inside Vrindavan near Govardhan, which is the resting place of the friends, the festival of Shri Krishna Kirtan started there itself. When that Leela land of Vrishbhanunandini Shriradha ji and her beloved Shri Krishna was completed with the glory of Sakshat Sankirtan, all the devotees living there got concentrated; His vision, the instinct of his mind did not go anywhere else. Thereafter, Shri Uddhav ji came in front of everyone by appearing from the group of grass, flowers, and vines spread there. His body was black, and Pitambar was adorning him. He was wearing a garland of Vanmala and Gunja around his neck and Gopivallabh was repeatedly singing the sweet pastimes of Shri Krishna.

With the arrival of Uddhav ji, the splendor of Sankirtanotsav increased manifold. For example, when moonlight sprinkles on the roof of an attic made of rhinestone, its beauty increases a lot. At that time all the people got engrossed in the sea of joy, forgot their everything, and lost their senses. After a while, when his consciousness came down from the divine world, i.e. when he regained consciousness, seeing Uddhava present in the form of Lord Krishna, pleased that his desire was fulfilled, he started worshiping him.
